My Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore ourselves more deeply. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is collaborative, affirming, and culturally responsive, where you can show up as your full self and feel seen, heard, and understood.

As a trauma-informed, client-centered therapist, I recognize that our experiences, relationships, identities, and environments shape how we move through the world. I aim to foster a welcoming, affirming, and culturally responsive space where you feel valued, understood, and supported in your unique experiences. I am passionate about working with BIPOC, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as those navigating the ways trauma, weight stigma, anti-fat bias, and systemic oppression can impact their relationships with food, their bodies, and themselves.

I draw from psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences and relational patterns may influence present-day thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also integrate elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), distress tolerance skills, somatic approaches, and expressive modalities to support greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and connection with your body.

My approach to eating disorder therapy is rooted in weight-inclusive care and informed by the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES).

I recognize that healing is not linear and that each person brings their own strengths, needs, and lived experiences into the therapeutic process. My goal is to meet you where you are, move at a pace that feels manageable, and work collaboratively toward a greater sense of connection, agency, and compassion for yourself. .
